Cushions

Updated: Feb 4, 2021

When I posted a picture of my pom-pom cushion along side a fabric cushion, a lot of people commented on how lovely they looked together and where was the 'other one' from.

All made by my own fair hand....

The fabric is Iliv Havana in Delft, lovely ferns and butterflies in a pale blue and white. I was going to make my bench cover out of it, but against the pale blue wall it all looked a bit wishy washy so instead I went with something that had a splash of red in it. The bench fabric is Dandelion in amber by Prestige Textiles. I chose this because I had already made a cushion for my sister as a Xmas present which look fab, I also made up a kit for her to make one herself.

The bench is still a bit of a work in progress, I have some picture to put up and and I'm wondering about making a cushion (curently some fabric pinned to another cushion) or is it all getting a bit much?? Going to live with it for a while before I decide what to do. The other cushions on the bench are the pom-pom cushion made on the large Butterfly Loom, one I weaved on my rigid heddle loom and one I knitted which came out HUGE - so I chucked it in the washing machine and felted it.

I was very pleased with the results, so in for a penny, in for a pound, I bought some more material and decided to make some for sale... and here they are! Matching lampshades also available, this is one I made earlier
